Dr. Parag Sadgir is an Environmental Engineer, Educator, Researcher, and Consultant, Lead Auditor Environment Management System ISO14001-2015 and Testing and Calibration of Laboratories ISO17025 in the area of Environmental Engineering Sciences, presently  Professor, Civil Engineering Department, COEP Technological University (COEP TECH) Pune, India.

Dr. Parag Sadgir is a strong Engineering professional who completed M.E. in Environment Engineering from V.J.T.I., Mumbai, and Ph. D. in Environment Engineering from SGSIT & Sc, Indore. He has been working in this field since 1989. His interests include Water Treatment, Wastewater treatment, Integrated Solid Waste Management, Environmental Risk and Exposure Assessment, and Sustainable Environmental Technologies. Dr. Sadgir has worked with several government agencies on various environmental projects and has authored/co-authored more than 141 publications in his area of expertise and has presented at several national and international conferences. Presently, he is working in the area of Water and Wastewater Treatment, Integrated Waste Management, and Circular Economy. As an educator, he has more than 34 years of teaching career. In addition to his roles as an educator and researcher, he has also gathered extensive administrative experience, serving in key positions as Registrar Academic, Dean Quality Assurance and Dean (CEP). He has also served in various statutory authorities such as Member, Acdemic Council, Member, Board of Studies, Member RRC, Member, Technical Committee. He has also been granted a patent on Self-Purification Based Polluted Water Purification to recognize his significant research breakthrough and contribution to his field. He has rich experience in serving as an Editorial Board Member and Journal Reviewer of numerous renowned peer-reviewed journals. He is a recognized Ph.D. guide under whose able guidance five students have been awarded Ph.D. degrees, and 26 students have been awarded M. Tech./M.E. degrees. He is Lead Auditor ISO 14001 ISO 14001:2015 and Lead Auditor Environment Management System Auditor Laboratory Quality Management System and Internal Audit  ISO 17025. He has completed one UGC Major Research (with two ongoing) and one UGC Minor Research Project.

His excellent people management skills help through experiences of organising 2 international Conferences, 6 National Conferences sponsored by various government bodies and 1 Short Term Training Programme. He has also functioned as Member National Advisory Committee and Session Chairman at several international conferences.

 He has undertaken over 70 consultancy projects for World Bank, state government agencies, and municipal corporations. He is Director International, IWWA, India and has been an Executive Council Member of IWWA for more than 16 years and has served as Chairman IWWA Aurangabad Centre. He is also an active member of 8 professional bodies.
